Description: 5:00 – An arrangement of a beloved Irish song first published in the 1870’s, Cockles and Mussels, (also known as “Molly Malone” or “In Dublin’s Fair City”), draws on fragments of older 19th century broadside ballad stories and characters. This version is based on the one sung by beloved Irish singer and song collector, Franke Harte, and features a simple body percussion part that imitates a basic Irish step. Commissioned by North Scott High School Choir.
